Warm, supportive therapy for identity shifts and emotional well-being.

About Anne Walbridge, LCMHC/LPC

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC/LPC), licensed in Colorado and New Hampshire, offering therapy in Boulder, Colorado and via telehealth across both states.

My clinical work focuses on emotional patterns, attachment dynamics, and life transitions that can feel difficult to shift through insight alone.

My approach is informed by EMDR, experiential and play-based therapy, and trauma-informed care, supporting a deeper understanding of emotional experience across the lifespan.

I am currently working toward certifications in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), and Aging and Mental Health (ECAMHS), supporting a lifespan-oriented approach from early development through adulthood and aging.

You may be someone who reflects deeply, understands patterns, and has tried to approach things differently

—yet still find yourself in familiar places.

  • Midlife transitions, menopause, caregiving, and aging

  • Parenting and family dynamics

  • Children and young adults navigating emotional and developmental challenges

  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation

How I Work

My approach is relational, experiential, and grounded in nervous system awareness.

I integrate EMDR, experiential therapy, and trauma-informed, attachment-based care to support deeper and more lasting change. With children, this includes play as a natural language for expression, connection, and healing. Across all stages of life, we work together to explore what feels present, stuck, or emerging, supporting reconnection with self, meaning, and stability.

I pay attention not only to what is happening, but how it is held—emotionally, relationally, and in the body. Therapy becomes a space to actively work with experience, not just understand it, with a focus on regulation, safety, and emotional awareness.

How I Came to This Work

My path into this work has been shaped as much by lived experience as by professional training. I’ve learned that even without words, experiences still find ways to be expressed.

This understanding was deepened through my work in a special education middle school setting, where I saw how closely behavior, regulation, and connection are linked, and how essential it is to meet each person where they are emotionally and developmentally. That foundation continues to guide my work with children, where play becomes a natural language for expression, and with adults navigating life transitions such as reproductive life transitions, parenting shifts, empty nest, caregiving, menopause, retirement, and evolving identity and aging.

At the core of my work is the belief that healing happens with space, attunement, and a pace that feels safe and grounded.
