Some experiences are difficult to put into words

‍ ‍

yet still shape how you feel, respond, and relate.

Sandtray therapy offers a reflective, experiential way to work with what is held beneath the surface, allowing meaning and movement to emerge naturally.

What is Sandtray Therapy?

Sandtray is an experiential therapy that uses a tray of sand and symbolic objects to represent internal experiences.

Rather than relying on words alone, it allows expression through images and placement, engaging deeper emotional and relational processes.

Various small figurines, jewelry, and toys arranged on sand to resemble a heart shape.

A Different Way of Working

Not everything needs to be explained to be understood.

Through the use of sand, objects, and imagery, sandtray creates space to explore:

  • Internal experiences that feel hard to access

  • Patterns that repeat without clear explanation

  • Emotions that are difficult to articulate

The process allows what is held internally to take form, often bringing clarity, distance, and shift.

Who This Is For

  • Children who struggle with verbal expression or word-finding

  • You feel that talking alone doesn’t feel like enough

  • You sense there is more beneath the surface

  • You’re drawn to a more experiential approach

  • You want to explore patterns in a different way

What You May Notice

  • Greater clarity through visual and symbolic expression

  • Access to experiences beyond words

  • A sense of distance from overwhelming material

  • Gradual, meaningful shifts in patterns

How I Work

This work is collaborative, steady, and guided with care.

We follow what emerges, allowing space for both awareness and integration, without forcing meaning or interpretation.

Sometimes the most important work happens without words.

Sandtray supports that process.
